Hey Everyone - For those who don't know me I'm the guild master (aka gm) of the guild "prophets of lordaeron" in the realm "Laughing Skull"... and it's an alliance guild.
A quick history lesson for anyone who was curiuos how this guild started. It was originally created about five or six months ago. The original guild charter was made by Bonrilen and Greenfirefly was his original co-gm. If anyone has questions about it I'm Greenfirefly too except that account got suspended and I had taken some time off WOW. The Guild tabard was designed by Greenfirefly and the original guild website was designed by Bergelmir who is occassionally on now. The original intentions of the guild was to be a guild to help lowbies level and to have a fun community to level and make new friends.
Eventually the guild slowly began to grow in size. One member that many of the newer members are familiar with is Clix. He had originally left the guild to join one with his friends and then returned after a few weeks with the intention of making "prophets of lordaeron" grow. That was when the guild began to skyrocket in size. The original vent server we had was through connections with Clix. In about a month time the guild had quadrupled in size. Even so we are a guild for leveling and for social networks we found it getting to be more and more difficult for higher leveled members to want to stay. The main reason was because of the lack of respect that some of the lower leveled members had for the higher leveled members.
During that time too, the position of guild master was given to Redfirefly (me). Bonrilen stepped down so that he could concentrate more on leveling. Since our guild is growing so big and we want to be able to be a strong guild and to do that we decided that the guild needed to have a bit more structure and respect among all guild members. So the ranking system changed, the roles of the guild officers changed and the recruiting system changed. Our goals in the guild have not really changed but added on more to what we originally intended. This guild is still a guild for leveling, building a social network in the game but also on the higher end of leveling we are building our skills so we could raid and do pvp.
